 Retrospective

Add your Start doing, Stop doing, and Keep doing items to the table below. We'll use these to talk about how we can improve our process going forward.

You should try to contribute at least 1 suggestion to each column! Don’t be afraid to be critical. We are here to improve!

Think about the “Circles meta”. Our processes, our hopes, and so on.

Start doing - what are we missing?

Stop doing - what went wrong?

Kudos - warm and fuzzies

Keep doing - what went well?

  • Procrastinating

  • Need to ask questions in meetings rather than wait for PR comments

  • Kudos to reviewers and detailed comments on PRs

  • Finished my PR changes after the review

  • Got my change in for PR early

Olli

Martin

  • thanks to Peter / Leo for helping me deal with my docker, etc. issues

  • thanks to Hussain for helping me write code

  • got a PR up

Lucas

  • Work on issues earlier in the week omg. (This is a me problem tho dw)

  • Procrastination

  • Poor time management (purely a me problem tho)

  • Waiting for PR feedback/starting too late for PR feedback

    • Should start early

    • Should move on to other work instead of waiting for feedback on first PR

  • Thanks for PR feedback

  • Weekly meetings were good, very helpful for questions, motivation and seeing how other. people were going.

Luke

  • Finish up the remaining 2 PRs incorporating any potential feedback from current

  • Starting early enough to get feedback before proceeding

  • Initial setup with docker mongodb-init thingy

  • Thanks to Hussain and Peter for working through setup and general design issues on Discord

  • Getting quick feedback to help progress

  • Initial PR open

Kobi

  • Make things work on frontend

  • Committing and pushing unfinished work. - Something with pylint specifically on my PRs even more they touched the backend. Fix pls? Also autplanner tests.

  • To Hussain for advice and looking though my PRs

  • Not breaking the entire code-base

Vinnie

  • Working through my other PR

  • Figuring out why my pipeline is broken/ fixing it

  • Struggled to figure out some of the docker issues I was having which managed to persist even after they seemed fixed (mostly a me issue because my wsl also broke because I tried using zsh)

  • Didn’t start early enough to get feedback in time

  • Windows carriage return (or something like that)

  • Merging CIRCLES-331 broke everything my pipeline

  • Good PR feedback

  • Quick reply times on general really helped

  • Asking questions in general was helpful so definitely continue doing that

  • My backend api call actually worked
