2022 Vision for the project

Is the project deployed/what is the expected timeline for a MVP deployment?

  • Term 1 hopefully but before T1 holidays since thats when everyone plans their courses again

  • We must have really accurate algos and data before we release so people don’t lose trust

    • Extensively test Computer Science

 

Any marketing you would like to do for the project?

  • At the end of T1, get the peer mentors to let their mentees check out the app

What size team are you looking for?

  • FE 3 people who know React/have started, 1 beginner (knows some js at the very least)

    • Beginners (if any) need stringent onboarding plans (maybe pair programming)

  • BE 4 extra members + maybe 1 beginner?

    • Hussain Nawaz (2nd year) ← our “beginner?”

  • 1 API, 1 DB, 1 Deployment, 1 Algo person? (hard.py) maybe 1 beginner (pretty good at DS&A, bonus points for hard.py)

Hanging Pull Requests

  • We have many hanging PRs (and also old branches)

    • Peter: Comment on PRs and approve (make approval more smooth so it’s not constant back and forth)

  • Need smaller PRs so it’s easier to review. One feature per branch

  • LINK PR to Jira Tasks so it’s easy for people to understand wtf is going on
